Position: Fields Operation Assistant
Rick first visited the Yukon and Alaska while leading a couple of camping tours in 1989. He never forgot it and finally returned in 2002.
His love of the outdoors began at a very early age, running free on the beaches, in the mangrove swamps and African bush of his boyhood home, on the East African coast just south of the Equator.
Somewhat late in his career he became a camping tour guide and led tours all over North America regaining some of that freedom of an earlier age. He progressed to management in the tour business, ending up in Los Angeles in the US. But civilization and the crowds became too much for him and so he pulled up roots and came north and has never regretted it.
He enjoys the outdoors of the great northland by camping, mountain biking, backpacking and hiking in it.
