Born in Germany, he enjoyed traveling from an early age. After school and University education he eventually quit his job as Managing Director to run his own business. In 1995 he visited the Yukon  for the first time and immediately “The Spell of the Yukon” – as most eloquently described by Robert Service – charmed him.
The decision to somehow make a living in the northern paradise was made then and there and he has resided in Canada’s Yukon ever since 1997. In 1998 he joined Ruby Range Adventure and always enjoys sharing “The Best of Yukon and Alaska”.
