Taste of the Yukon: Nisutlin River

The Nisutlin River is a beautiful wilderness river nestled amongst scenic mountains and ideally suited as a first time experience for a multi-generational family tour with children. The river flows through lowland wetlands and has a gentle current with no technical difficulties making it an excellent introduction for young or new paddlers. As you pass through this remote wilderness you often encounter bear, moose and numerous migratory bird populations. After negotiating the last stretch of this 130 km trip through Nisutlin Bay as part of the large Teslin Lake the tour ends at the village of Teslin.
