Taste of the Yukon: Nisutlin River
The Nisutlin River is a beautiful wilderness river, ideally suited as a first time experience or as a family tour with children.
If you just want to try how it feels to explore the Yukons untamed nature by canoe or if you want your children to have a positive first encounter with canoe and paddle, or even if you are looking for some special add-on to your West Canada trip, this one is right for you.
There are no technical difficulties and the river therefore is a good choice for beginners. Nevertheless, the degree of remoteness lets you experience the true Yukon feeling. After negotiating the last stretch of this 130 km trip through Nisutlin Bay as part of the large Teslin Lake, the tour ends at the village of Teslin.
