We were asked repeatedly if there was another way to undertake river trips through the Yukon’s wilderness without handling a canoe. Multi-day canoe paddling trips aren’t for everyone; and we understand that.
That’s why we’ll now be offering guided motorboat tours in northern Canada – a great alternative to our established canoe trips. And the best is, that you don’t require any special fitness level or prior experience to join. In exclusive small groups we invite you to enjoy the breathtaking scenery and artifacts of the rich history of one of the greatest gold rushes of all times. Simply sit back and let the pristine wilderness of the Yukon drift by while always keeping an eye out for wildlife: With a bit of luck, we might spot eagles, moose, bears, and sometimes even wolves along the riverbanks. Around the campfire, listen to the guide’s stories about trappers and adventurers of the North and learn more about life in the Canadian bush.
Far from civilization and off the beaten track, we will be staying in wilderness camps (tents) along the river – with no electricity or sanitary facilities. Untamed and wild; just as you imagine Canada to be, experiencing the real backcountry feeling for a few days! We will use the extra storage in the boat to bring along camping chairs and cots, making ourselves as comfortable as possible.
Relax in camp or try your skills at fishing. Catching your own grayling or pike is always a special moment and preparing it freshly in camp is a real highlight (and a great addition to enhance the menu).
All in all, this trip is a superlative wilderness experience for all nature lovers who are looking for an alternative to our classic canoe trips. Due to limited capacity (a maximum of 4 guests per departure), we recommend booking early.
